กกกกDuring CITM 2002, there were 1,700 domestic
exhibitor units and 800 overseas exhibitor units, involving a total
of 1,614 booths, i.e., 1,111 domestic booths, 503 overseas booths,
with an exhibition area of 34,500 sq m. A total of 46 countries
and regions took part in the mart, namely, China, Singapore, Japan,
Indonesia, the Philippines, Maldives, Thailand, Australia, Cambodia,
the Republic of Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam, Brunei,
New Zealand, Nepal, Malaysia, South Africa, Mongolia, Mauritius,
Sri Lanka, Myanmar, India, Tunisia, Cuba, the United States, Canada,
Finland, Ukraine, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Spain, Germany,
Greece, the Netherlands, Turkey, Britain, Sweden, Egypt, Italy,
Hungary, Croatia, France, Denmark, Hong Kong and Macau. Compared
with CITM 2001, the participants increased by 10%. In terms of the
continent or country the exhibitors belonged to, 13.8% of exhibitors
came from Asia, 10.9% from Europe, 2.2% from Oceania, 4.2% from
America, 0.7% from Africa and 68.2% from China (including Hong Kong
SAR and Macao SAR). In terms of the exhibitors' business type, airline
companies made up 2.07%, tourist attractions 10.08%, cruise companies
0.74%, national and regional tourist organizations 18.15%, hotels
and hotel groups 20.3%, travel agencies 43.33%, tourist websites
and computer reservation systems 0.96% and others 4.37%. A total
of 30 million materials were provided during CITM 2002. There were
about 10,000 people from tourist circles and 50,000 visitors came
to the exhibition. Over 1,200 domestic and overseas buyers were
invited to participate in CITM 2002.
