The China International Travel Mart (CITM) is the country’s first international travel exhibition with its own brand approved by the State Council, as well as the largest professional exhibition of its kind in Asia. Since 2001, the event has been held alternately in Shanghai and Kunming on an annual basis. It attracts tourism institutions, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cultural institutions, museums and other culture & tourism-related businesses from China, including 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the Hong Kong SAR, the Macao SAR and Taiwan, and from more than 100 other countries and regions across the world.

With the theme of "Nihao! China", CITM 2024 will be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 22 to 24. CITM 2024 will cover an area of 53,000 square meters, with about 2,500 standard booths. The exhibition features six areas: Domestic Culture and Tourism Area, Cultural Tourism Technology Area, Cultural and Creative Museum Area, Area for Inbound Tourism Facilitation and Tourism Services, Culture and Tourism Experience Area, and International Culture and Tourism Area. CITM 2024 will plan and hold professional activities such as the inbound tourism policy promotion activity, business talks, etc., highlighting the characteristics of inbound tourism facilitation, new products and routes, international and domestic regional cooperation, and tourism destination marketing. It will comprehensively enhance the effectiveness of display, negotiation, and trading, deeply promote the national tourism image of "Nihao! China" to the world, integrate inbound tourism products and resources, further promote the development of the inbound tourism market, and promote international tourism exchanges and cooperation.
