The China International Travel Mart (CITM) is the country’s first international travel exhibition with its own brand approved by the State Council, as well as the largest professional exhibition of its kind in Asia. Since 2001, the event has been held alternately in Shanghai and Kunming on an annual basis. It attracts tourism institutions, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cultural institutions, museums and other culture & tourism-related businesses from China, including 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the Hong Kong SAR, the Macao SAR and Taiwan, and from more than 100 other countries and regions across the world.
With the theme of "Pooling Global Wisdom for a New Future for Culture and Tourism", with a focus on the new changes of the international tourism market, the new tourismconsumption, products and forms of tourism, CITM 2023 will bring together domestic and overseas tourism professionals, to discuss cooperation, promote the trading of tourism products, seek common development, deepen China's exchanges and cooperation with other countries in culture and tourism marketing, products, information, service standards and other fields, and deliver more cultural and tourism products to domestic and overseas tourists. Through exhibition, negotiation and trade, CITM 2023, combining digital technologies with traditional technologies, aims to showcase the outcomes of innovative development, tap market potential, expand the tourism market, promote tourism consumption, and promote the prosperity of global tourism.
